First Generation:
These characters were in tenth grade (season 1 & 2), eleventh grade (season 3), twelfth grade (season 4), college freshmen (season 6 & 7), and college sophomore (season 8).

• David Henrie as Austin Roberts (Main: Season 1-2)

Austin Roberts, the older brother of Charlotte and Noah, is charismatic, responsible, and smart. His mind is only focused on being the top student of his class – until he collides with Danielle.

• Bridgit Mendler as Danielle Freeman (Main: Season 1-2)

Danielle Freeman is a perfectionist. She hoped her passion for protecting the environment and women’s rights can someday change the world into the world she dreamed of. However, her tendency to become controlling pushes her back.

• Brandon Smith as James Connor (Main: Season 1-2)

James Connor thought of himself as Paradise Heights’ badass. Instead of sports or computer games, his favorite activity is vandalizing school property or stealing from vending machines. But is there a heart beneath his tough exterior.

• Selena Gomez as Mackenzie Hawthorne (Main: Season 1-2)

Kelsey Sanchez is left to take care of her alcoholic mother while her father is at war. She was well-adjusted to the names others referred to her for being Goth – a freak, a nobody, a loner. Things change when she meets someone that understands her situation.

• James Maslow as Alejandro Santiago (Main: Season 1-2)

Alejandro Santiago could be described as eccentric from his fashion sense to his love for the dramatic arts. However, he had a secret, a secret that could change his life if someone knew.

Second Generation:
